(CC12108411)- Price:
- £11.05
- Size:
- 10.5" (27cm)
- Material:
- Steel with Non-Stick Coating
Product Information
This standard gauge non-stick wok is made with a 1.4mm thick carbon steel body, a material designed to withstand higher temperatures and a xylon non-stick coating to prevent food attaching itself to the inside of the pan.
The fixed attractive bamboo handle allows you to get a good grasp of the pan when moving its contents. Having a 10.5" (27cm) diameter and a material thickness of 1.4mm makes this wok a lighter alternative to our other gauge woks.
We recommend that you hand wash this product as the bamboo handle is not suitable for dishwasher use.

Use & Care
Non-Stick Cookware requires less cooking oil and makes cleaning easier since less food residue remains in the pan. Steel or aluminium cooking pans can be coated with a substance such as Teflon (also known as polytetrafluoroethylene or PTFE) in order to minimise food sticking to the pan surface. To preserve the coating it is sensible to use wooden tools and to avoid using metallic implements or abrasive cleaners. You should also ensure that the pan is never overheated. The more lightweight and cheaper the pan, the shorter its lifespan; a heavy set should last for years.
Tips on use and care:
- Non-stick treated pans are not as good for crisping and browning but make it possible to cook with little or no fat.
- Never overheat a coated non-stick surface.
- Do not pre-heat to a high temperature; always put the food into a warm, not hot, pan.
- Always use wooden implements. Ensure that you have separate spoons for sweet and savoury cooking to prevent the fusion of flavours within the wooden tools.
- Wash, while still warm, with a detergent and a brush or nylon pad.
- Do not use scouring pads or abrasive cleaners.
- Heavy gauge pans are suitable for all types of hob except induction
